Meet our Leadership Team
Lance Brooks - Founder
After appearing on 'Australian Survivor', Lance founded Communities for Communities in 2002 and was President from its establishment until June 2011, a role he resumed from 2013-2017. Lance feels a great deal of passion and enthusiasm for the power of community. "I'm really thrilled to see Communities for Communities continuing to grow. It's making a real difference in the communities it helps, as well as locally," he says. "It's wonderful to see it evolving and enabling people to step up to various leadership roles too."
Adrian Arndt - President
Adrian started as a member of the Communities for Communities committee and went on his first immersion to Indonesia back in 2015. He then took on the immersion Team Leader role on our first trip to Fiji in 2016. Outside of volunteering, Adrian has years of work experience in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry as well as professional football refereeing. Since he has been involved with C4C, Adrian has shown a strong level of passion for and dedication to social justice and equality of opportunity and access, which will help him carry out the role of President.
Hannah Rayment - Vice President
Hannah joined the committee after her first trip to Indonesia in April 2015. Since then she has been an active member of the C4C team, helping to organise the annual fundraising ball, participating in immersions and volunteering at community events. Hannah is excited to bring a fresh perspective to the VP role and continue the success of former leaders, Lance and Jacque. Hannah brings over seven years of experience in public relations, an enthusiasm for events and a hunger to give back to the community, both locally and internationally.
Ellen Ryan - Treasurer
Ellen joined Communities for Communities in early 2015 to support our accounting function. She has an Advanced Diploma in Accounting, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Bookkeepers and a registered BAS agent, and brings over seventeen years of experience in bookkeeping. Since 2015, Ellen has played a key role in managing the funds for our events, immersions, sponsors and donors. Starting in 2018, Ellen is taking on the role of Treasurer where she will continue to look after the finances and also join our Board of Directors.
Lisa Cummins - Secretary
Lisa joined the Communities for Communities committee in 2014 after returning from Klabat village, Indonesia with her three children in April. "After being involved in many school committees over the years and with my children now finished school, I felt this was the perfect opportunity to become involved in such a worthwhile cause for both local and international communities," she says. Lisa has run a successful kitchen/joinery business for the past 21 years and her administrative skills have helped her role as Secretary.
