Celebrate ten years of Communities for Communities in 2012!

Thank you to everyone who came along to our 10th Golf Day and birthday dinner at Concord Golf Club on 3 February - here are some photos from the event.

Watch our new video which has been developed by the Communities for Communities' Foundation to promote our concept to other areas.

WELCOME TO COMMUNITIES FOR COMMUNITIES!

At the heart of Communities for Communities is the recognition of the importance of our sense of connectedness as people. Each time we come together, we build and celebrate our community – and gain insight into the needs of another group of people, whom we are able to help.

Since we began in 2002:

  • We've hosted more than 100 events
  • Enlisted the help of hundreds of volunteers
  • Had around 40,000 people come along as supporters
  • Engaged with hundreds of businesses who have supplied prizes, donations or sponsorship
  • Raised more than $1,000,000 for the communities we've helped
  • Supported communities in Burma/Thailand, Cebu, South Vietnam and locally at Lucas Gardens School for students with disabilities in Five Dock
  • And most importantly of all, we've had a lot of fun along the way!

What's more, because we run on 100% volunteer effort, our running costs are kept at around 1% of funds raised, which is an extraordinarily low amount.

Here at Communities for Communities in Canada Bay, you’re always welcome to become part of our journey. You can do so by coming along to our events, helping as a volunteer, sponsoring an event or making a donation.

Please contact us at info@communitiesforcommunities if you'd like to know more.

You can also download a more detailed brochure here. Read about our 'four pillars' which set out Communities for Communities' purpose.

We're also keen to help other communities to get their own 'Communities for Communities' organisation off the ground. Please contact us if you'd like to know more.
